Current Series: Twelve Sabbaths in the Puritan Pulpit, 2026
If you are newly coming to First Puritan—being attracted to the Word of God and to the manner and tenor in which it is preached, we ask that you consider that each lesson is based upon the preceding.
Your time before this pulpit must not be a matter of jumping into unknown water and hearing it “once and done.” You must take the time to return to the lesson during the week—hearing it again, reading it again, drinking in the details of its footnotes, thinking about these things, and then taking to heart what was offered so that you might understand more fully “what’s going on in what’s going on,”
Otherwise, your ignorance of the entire subject at hand will compounded, week after week, and then you will say: “The minister has lost me; I don’t know what he is saying” when in truth you should say “I’ve become lost by way of jumping into the deep instead of wading out from the shoreline.
We begin with 12 topical lessons to lay the foundation for future study, touching upon such various and sundry topics as “time,” history, the calendar, the Church and her denominations, faith, discipline, obedience, Pilgrims, Puritans, the Beginnings and the End Times, etc.
We will end the year with a Christmas lesson, addressing the subterfuge, myth, invention, and absurdity we’ve been taught as “Biblical.”
And then we will begin the new year with first part of our multi-part series—On the Mischance of an Adulterous Wife—as the focus of our primary external ministry.

The conditions under which God allows divorce, with a warning to the adultress of the sure and certain punishment that will come to her no matter how she excuses her behavior.
